Sarah Lou’s Cakes policy! 

Thank you for choosing Sarah Lou’s Cakes. We’re passionate about baking cakes to make your special moments unforgettable. For the best experience for both you and us, we’ve put together this policy outlining important details about ordering, payments, cancellations, and more.

 

Please read through the following carefully before confirming your order. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.

 

Ordering 

  • Orders must be placed a minimum of 7 days before the delivery/collection date

  • Detailed customised design orders need to be placed a minimum of 14 days before the delivery/collection date

  • Last-minute orders are subject to availability, with designs also subject to availability. 

Deposits and payments 

  • A non-refundable deposit of 20% for celebration cakes and 50% for cupcake orders* is needed to secure your order. This can be paid via bank transfer.

  • The remaining balance is due upon collection/delivery, and this can be paid either with cash or via bank transfer. 

Cancellations and refunds

  • Cancellations need to be made a minimum of five days before the collection/delivery date.

  • The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.* 

Design and changes

  • Final designs must be confirmed at a minimum of 5 days before the collection/delivery date

  • We reserve the right to make small design changes to the order if needed. 

  • Final changes to flavourings need to be confirmed a minimum of 7 days before the collection/delivery date.

Allergies and dietary requirements 

 

  • Our bakes usually contain dairy, eggs and gluten (wheat); however, on request and subject to availability, we can do allergy-friendly bakes

  • However, our products may contain traces of dairy, eggs, gluten (wheat), soy, nuts, and other allergens due to the factory process of our ingredients. 

  • We are not a certified allergen-free kitchen.

  • It is down to the customer to inform us of any allergies they/ there party may have during the order process, before confirmation is given or a deposit is taken. 

 

Collection and delivery

  • If collecting an order, a collection time must be agreed between us and you a minimum of 1 day before the collection day. 

  • Delivery is available, but this will come with an added fee depending on the delivery location. This will be confirmed and then included in the final price during the order process. 

  • Once an order leaves our premises or is delivered, we are no longer responsible for damage.

 

Satisfaction and liability 

  • We aim for 100% satisfaction; however, if you are unhappy, please contact us immediately via our Facebook page. 

  • Any disputes must be reported within 24 hours of pickup/delivery.

  • We are not responsible for weather conditions or mishandling once the cake is in your care.

  • Upon delivery/collection we will give you the best advice to keep your order in the best condition. 

Photography and promotion 

  • We reserve the right to take photos and videos of your order for promotional activities such as social media. 

  • If you prefer your order to not be used please inform as soon as possible.



 

*

  • If you order any more 24 cupcakes, you will need to pay a 20% deposit rather than the standard 50%. 

  • In some circumstances and depending on availability, we may be able to offer you the chance to reschedule rather than cancel your order.
